Common questions

Before you reach out

How do I book a consultation with EY Associates?

Call us on +91 88006 68765 or send a WhatsApp message with a few lines about your matter. We will suggest a time to speak or meet at either of our Jabalpur offices. Carry or send whatever papers you have; even an incomplete file tells us a great deal.

Do you handle matters outside Jabalpur?

Yes. The firm appears before the DRT and DRAT, the Madhya Pradesh High Court, the NCLT and courts and tribunals across India. A good part of our work comes from clients in other cities. Meetings happen over video call where distance makes that easier.

What should I bring to a first consultation?

Bring the documents closest to the dispute: loan papers and notices for a recovery matter, the agreement for a contract dispute, sale deeds and revenue records for property, or the FIR and court papers in a criminal matter. Photographs of documents on your phone are fine to start with.

Do you advise in Hindi as well as English?

Yes, both. Consultations, phone calls and written summaries are available in whichever language you are more comfortable in. Court filings are drafted in the language the forum requires, and we explain every filing to you in plain words before it goes in.

Does sending you a message create an advocate and client relationship?

No. An engagement begins only after we have spoken, checked for conflicts and confirmed the terms with you. Until then, anything you send is treated as confidential but does not make the firm your counsel. This protects both sides and is standard practice.

Which of your two Jabalpur offices should I visit?

Whichever is closer: Vijay Nagar on the MR-4 Road at Ahinsha Chowk, or Napier Town beside Anand Cinema. Please call before visiting so the right person is available with time set aside for you. Directions to both are on the contact page.
